Lareen works individually with each student, covering all aspects of musical knowledge including reading music, signs and Italian terms. She works on correct breathing, pronunciation, posture, confidence, and the understanding of the larynx and how singing actually works.
She prepares her students for competitions, auditions and an end of year concert which she organizes for all of her students to perform in. “I believe that performing is part of being a musician and it’s great to show what you have been working on for the year in front of your friends and family. It gives you something to work towards.”
All her students work with other singers and different accompanists so they have an understanding how to work with other musicians and professionals.
Lareen runs monthly Master classes in her studio where all the students build confidence by singing in front of each other, learn to work together and offer feedback. They learn the basics of vocal technique and develop aural awareness through harmony singing.
The class comprises of a ten minute Vocal Preparation followed by ten minutes of Sight Singing. The remainder of the session is spent on solo performance and workshop time.
It is highly recommended that all students attend this class, and have regular rehearsal sessions with the accompanist.

Lessons are paid by the term with a payment option if required.
